The IT System Engineering team is responsible for enterprise servers, storage, backupsrecovery, patching , data center management along with our Azure environments across our 55 locations (and growing). Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop MECM task sequences for OS upgrades, patching and software package deployments

Troubleshoot OS, patching and software deployment failures

Troubleshoot MECM health issues, including Distribution Points and client remediation

Assist in planning and implementing changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance, security and reliability.

Assist with day-to-day operational support for server and storage infrastructures.

Participates in the configuring, managing and deploying Windows Servers in a VMware environment.

Performs storage and server data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations.

Evaluate, analyze and recommend new technologies and vendor products relating to existing and future business requirements.

Participate in identifying and applying patches and firmware upgrades related to storage, servers, system applications, virtual environment, and backups systems.

Participates in documenting procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to systems/networks software and hardware.

Provide support and in-depth diagnosis for system and end user issues.

Ensure stability of all services by monitoring for trends of issues and growth.

Interface with other technical staff regarding uptime of the infrastructure, life cycle of the hardware, technical considerations for planning and managing hardware replacements.

Participates in the planning and development of new or existing solutions to meet customer requirements and deployment timelines

Participate in on-call rotation, ensuring proper resolution to escalated issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in professional experience.

Minimum of 3 years of direct MECM experience required

Experience

3+years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or related experience.

MECM Server and application administration experience

Experience with Monitoring Tools - SCOM

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

Experience with VMware and Windows Server Operating Systems.

Experience must include services design, operating system enterprise administration, performance management, use of systems management tools, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

Understanding of operational best practices, configuration management, and security controls.

Experience with scripting and/or automation tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Systems Engineer is a full-time, salaried position. Required to provide on call support (weekends and holidays), and occasional travel as needed.

Sitting/Standing at a computer 80% of the time.

Bending, stretching, and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. is required.
