3rd shift Supervisor Saukville Manufacturing, Kohler EnergyWork Mode: Onsite3 rd shift Manufacturing Supervisor, Saukville, Kohler EnergyLocation: Onsite300 N Dekora Woods BlvdSaukville, WI USAHours : 3 rd shift10-6am Sunday-ThursdayUnder the direction of the SUPT-MFG, Saukville, this position will be responsible for supervising, directing, coordinating, and maintaining the efficient operation of the Saukville plant on 3rd shift operations.This includes but is not limited to fabrication, welding, painting and assembly of fabricated components. This position is salaried at 40-45 hours during the week and may require time before/after shift and weekend work to support production.Specific Responsibilities

Ensure associates are working safely as well as wearing all required personal protective equipment.

Report, investigate and follow through on all safety issues in their assigned area, including incidents and safety improvement cards (ZIP Cards)

Monitor product quality and work with production associates to make on-the-spot decisions regarding what is conforming/non-conforming product and coordinate rework as necessary

Schedule the workforce and set the expectations while monitoring work in process to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers.

Monitor performance of and implement corrective action for equipment, process and personnel downtime.

Hold MFG associates accountable to previously set safety, performance and quality standards.

Verify and maintain all payroll records for the assigned area.

Training and development of skilled associates including using the Training Matrix for all applicable associates.

Resolution of any associate issues with the assistance of other Foremen/Supervisors or HR.

With the assistance of support departments, drive improvement projects with impact on department metrics and maintain consistency across all three shifts.

Procure basic hand tools and hooks/springs for use throughout metal fabrication.

Processing receiving and shipping paperwork for previously scheduled shipments and deliveries when necessary.

Conduct interviews and weld testing, with the assistance of lead production associates and HR.

Assist in on-boarding new associates and integrating them into the operations.

Skills/Requirements

4-5 years of supervisory experience preferably in a Manufacturing industry

Strong technical aptitude is required.

Basic computer skills with the ability to understand and learn programs quickly is required.

Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills are required.

Ability to manage diverse teams in a fast-paced environment is required.

Ability to understand complex systems and processes to make decisions as necessary to manage the process is required.

Ability to give critical feedback respectfully to drive the culture of the shift.

Desired Experience

A Technical, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Operations Management, Engineering or a related field is desirable.

Understanding of SAP and Workbrain production control systems is desirable.

Training as a first responder is desirable.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $85,650. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
