Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty components, such as fuel systems, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Use automotive diagnostics equipment to identify problems and make necessary repairs.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to complete repairs.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostics equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, such as cranes and diggers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- HVAC certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
