MANUFACTURING RELIABILITY ENGINEER professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our RACINE, WI location, you will implement and oversee the process of asset reliability assessment and improvement. These improvements include design modifications and failure mode mitigation utilizing predictive maintenance technologies. As a Reliability Engineer, you will workto achieve maximum asset and process uptime, findways to minimize production losses to equipment and processes, and identify and manage asset reliability risks that could negatively impact business operations. AS AMANUFACTURING RELIABILITY ENGINEER, YOU WILL:- Develop and implement strategic improvements that will drive improved availability, reliability, and performance of manufacturing assets.
- Be responsible for the development of the site asset reliability strategy and for preventive and predictive maintenance programs and processes; identify the most likely failures and implement actions to mitigate the effects of those failures.
- Apply methods for estimating the reliability of new equipment designs and for analyzing reliability data,initiateand direct Root Cause Failure Analysis, as necessary, and conduct Risk Assessments (FMEAs) and Root Cause Analyses for critical equipment failures.
- Utilize our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to identify repeat failures on assets, generatereports and review with AST Manager to develop predictive failures, and workwith planner/scheduler to change preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, where required, to address repeat failures.
- Workwith Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance to design solutions to remediate or eliminate repeat failures on assets, and ensure that all CAPAs (Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions) are included in the proactive maintenance and PM program updates.
- Assist planner scheduler in developing job scope, labor estimates, materials, and assembles planning for work assigned.
- Followup on all emergency and break-down work orders to determine if a formal failure analysis or further action is required.
- Develop, maintain, and update the Proactive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring programs within the organization.
- Integrate Equipment Asset Criticality Assessment results into asset records and maintenance strategy.
- Assist in developing a spare parts program strategy in the CMMS and ensure required changes are documented and communicated.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and abilities
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing operations required
- Demonstrated tactical and strategic knowledge of the principles of preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and equipment performance standards
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
- Master's degree
- Prior Reliability Engineering (RE) experience
- Knowledge and application of reliability methodologies and tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Structured problem solving, Lean, and Six Sigma)
