Description We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in the retail clothing and accessories industry, based in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. This role encompasses managing the payroll for a significant number of employees, including seasonal workers. You will also be responsible for implementing new hires into our payroll system. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the payroll for a large number of employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Manage the payroll for a significant influx of seasonal workers during peak periods Utilize UltiPro/UKG software to manage payroll Implement new hires into our payroll system in an efficient manner Handle multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with all state regulations Utilize various accounting software systems, including ADP, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System Carry out 401k - RRSP Administration tasks Perform a variety of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial data privacy standards. Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist within the retail industry, preferably in the clothing and accessories sector. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential. Must have prior experience with Ceridian. Knowledge of IBM AS/400 is necessary. Familiarity with Kronos Timekeeping System is a must. Experience with 401k - RRSP Administration is required. About Time software experience is highly desirable. Should have a thorough understanding of Accounting Functions. Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary. Must have experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. Should have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must have a high degree of integrity and confidentiality. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
