We're happy to announce after last summers fire we're nearly ready to reopen, with the reopen just in time for our busy patio season we need to bring our staff back to full strength! Casual - Part-time bartender, currently anticipating the greatest needs for bartending staff is Friday and Saturday nights, with more hour oppertunies available if desired.
Friday and Saturday Dinner shift availability is a must for all applicants at this time though.
Hours may range from full-time to casual depending on applicant and position desired.
Bar shjft hours are generally from 430pm-1030pm. Currently planning on being closed Sundays.
JOB TITLE: bartender
Providing service of beverage and food in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in the best customer satisfaction.
Basic duties include but are not limited to:
1. Proper set-up and cleanliness of service station before, during, and after shift.
2. Greet guests in a timely, courteous manner and explain all specials, promotions.
3. Answer the phone and take phone orders/reservations. Enter on-line orders into the POS.
4. Take orders, recite selection of cocktails/beverages and food menu items - this will require memorization skills.
5. Input orders into point of sale system in a timely fashion to inform BOH staff an order was made.
6. Maintain cleanliness of guest tables and assist with the bar area.
7. Perform all assigned side work and complete daily checklist.
8. Perform general cleaning tasks, use standard cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. A basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
2. Ability to read English sufficiently to understand menus and special promotions, speak and write to communicate with the guests, and take orders.
3. Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items.
4. Ability to transport trays weighing up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift.
5. Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
6. Maintain a positive attitude throughout shift.
7. Work as a team player.
8. Ability to remain motivated during busy and/or any slow periods within shift.
9. Cash handling and self-banking position, requires ability to maintain funds, and accurately count back change.
10. Ability to use the electronic point of sales system.
Must be eligible to work within the united states, and at least age 18 to serve alcoholic beverages.
for any bartenders: Ability to obtain a bartending license in the city of Milwaukee within 6 months of hire. Existing Bartender license preferred
Must be eligible to work within the united states.
No prior bar experience required, but is stongly preferred. At least some service industry experience is required.
