Job Title: Quality Control Laboratory TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to test raw materials and finished powder coating samples per specifications. You will make pass/fail determinations based on listed specifications and product knowledge, make adjustments to out-of-spec material, and assist operators with product and quality issues on a daily basis. Additionally, you will hold operators accountable as needed, perform lab tests directed by the QC Manager/Supervisor, and document all findings and reports for product run logs, certificates of analysis, re-certification records, etc.Responsibilities
Test raw materials and finished powder coating samples per specifications.
Make pass/fail determinations based on listed specifications and product knowledge.
Make adjustments to out-of-spec material.
Assist operators with product and quality issues on a daily basis.
Hold operators accountable as needed.
Perform lab tests directed by QC Manager/Supervisor.
Document all findings and reports for product run logs, certificates of analysis, re-certification records, etc.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in chemistry and lab testing.
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), wet chemistry, paint manufacturing, ink chemistry, color matching, and polymer chemistry.
Experience with laboratory equipment and lab analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Chemistry or a related field is preferred.
Experience working in a quality control lab environment.
