Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The warehouse associate is primarily responsible for picking orders, scanning of inventory, efficiently moving and packing customer orders in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy while being aware and sensitive to time restraints.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Pick orders per customer order sheet.

· Place order onto appropriate cart.

· Check and verify that pulled orders are correct.

· Pack customer orders per company guidelines.

· Communicate with assigned team lead to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly expectations.

· Follow all policies and standards to ensure a safe, clean, orderly, and efficient work environment.

· Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

· Inspect stock items for defects, reporting damage to supervisors.

· Box items so that they remain neatly packed through the shipping process.

· Assist others on team to meet customer expectations and company service levels.

· Participate in company-sponsored events including, but not limited to, annual ACD Games Day.

· Weekend work is mandatory during heavy volume periods.

· Complete miscellaneous warehouse duties as assigned.

· Willing and able to positively contribute to a professional, safe, and conflict-free work environment.

· Ability to work well both independently and part of a team.

· Good verbal communication skills.

· Must have strong attention to detail

· Basic computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Comfortable standing and walking for 8- 10 hours at a time.

· Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

· Must be able to work in various temperatures

· Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms and horns that may be used to warn employees of the start-up, movement or approach of equipment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

· High School diploma or GED required.

· Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Basic math skills (a simple exam must be passed), reading, and reasoning skills.

· Ability to understand and execute directions.

· Demonstrate characteristics of reliability.

· Willing and able to positively contribute to a professional, safe, and conflict-free work environment.

· Ability to work well both independently and part of a team.

· Good verbal communication skills.

· Must have strong attention to detail.

· Basic computer skills.
