Job Summary:

The Licensed Journeyman Plumbing Technician position is a full-time position responsible for new installations/construction (70%), remodels (20%), and some service work (10%) when needed for both residential and commercial jobs. This position will require you to be on call. A+ Plumbing has a rotating on-call schedule with 3 technicians currently in rotation, meaning this position is required to be on call one week/month.

Responsibilities:

Install plumbing systems according to building codes and specifications

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems

Assemble and install/replace: pipes, fittings, valves, water heaters, and fixtures

Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems

Collaborate with other tradesmen & contractors to ensure proper coordination of work

Record detailed notes for each job/project in Field Management System – take pictures of work done & post to system

Train or instruct new employees/apprentices as needed

Complete paperwork as directed by supervisors/office staff

Monitor company vehicle inventory levels & communicate maintenance needs

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes

Good customer service skills – ability to maintain a professional demeanor

Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers

Proficient in problem solving

Proficient at reading blueprints

Must possess a valid driver’s license

Must provide own hand tools

Education/Experience:

WI Journeyman or Master Plumber license or Apprentice (Required)

Experience using FieldEdge or a similar platform to track hours, materials, job notes, etc. is preferred but not required

Hours/Benefits:

Monday Through Friday 6:50am-3:30pm

On-call rotation: One week/month
