Software Engineer (Flight Management Systems)
FMS domain experience is required. This position is responsible for a variety of engineering assignments. Candidate understands and applies good software engineering concepts, has a thorough understanding of software engineering development and verification concepts throughout the complete software lifecycle, and follows established policies and procedures to complete work assignments.
Successful candidate will possess:
Avionics software and requirement development experience
FMS domain experience (required)
Strong Real-time embedded systems experience
Strong software development experience
Strong systems and software requirement experience
Proven leadership and communication skills
Ability to investigate and problem-solve
Sharp mind to overcome steep learning curve
Plusses:
Development experience in Ada
Experience on software systems developed to DO-178B Level C or higher
Solid understanding of software verification under DO-178B is a plus
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
2+ years of experience of software engineering experience in real time embedded systems
