Job description:
Growing company on Madison's East Side is hiring in their Wire Harness Assembly area. This job typically involves routing, tying, and assembling wires to create complete wire harnesses, following blueprints and schematics. This includes cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering wires, as well as testing and inspecting the final product. Hours are; Mon-Fri 8a-5p with an hour lunch.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly: Constructing wire harnesses by following detailed instructions, schematics, and blueprints.
Wiring: Routing, tying, and securing wires, often using harness boards or other specialized equipment.
Terminal Attachment: Crimping or soldering terminals to wires to create connections.
Testing: Conducting continuity and functional tests to ensure the harness functions as designed.
Inspection: Performing visual and dimensional inspections to identify and correct any defects.
Tool Usage: Operating hand tools (cutters, strippers, soldering irons, etc.) and semi-automatic equipment (crimp presses, etc.).
Repair: Repairing damaged harnesses or components.
Documentation: Following instructions, work orders, and other documentation.
Safety: Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Quality Control: Ensuring that assemblies meet quality standards.
