Now Hiring: Sourcing Agent – Supply Chain

Location: Madison, WI

Schedule: Monday–Friday, onsite

Mission:

Deliver the right product, in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities—at the best cost.

Primary Function:

The Sourcing Agent is responsible for the cost-effective procurement of materials, components, equipment, supplies, and services. This role ensures accuracy in item data, quality specifications, and product costing, while supporting make/buy decisions and, when needed, contributing to production planning and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Source products and services in a cost-effective and timely manner

Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements

Support make/buy decisions based on cost and lead time analysis

Maintain accurate ERP system data: BOMs, supplier details, lead times, costings, etc.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Logistics, Engineering, and Manufacturing

Identify cost-saving opportunities (design, material, supplier) and assess emerging technologies

Participate in new product development, contributing sourcing insight

Manage and evaluate supplier performance; implement corrective actions as needed

Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards; manage returns and credits for defects

Monitor market conditions and actively mitigate cost increases

Occasional travel required

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Essential:

3–5 years of sourcing experience in manufacturing and/or a BS in Supply Chain or related field

ERP/MRP experience and strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Detail-oriented, creative, and highly organized

Strong problem-solving and teamwork capabilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Preferred:

3+ years working with international vendors

Experience with QRM, Lean Manufacturing, or related methodologies

Cycling industry knowledge a plus

Experience supporting new product development and operating in ambiguity
