Job Summary
The Equipment Repair Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of equipment for KleenMark Distribution customers and KleenMark Commercial Cleaning.
Essential Job Functions
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repairs on equipment.
Inspect and set up new equipment as required.
Inspect and prep demo equipment as required.
Coordinate PM program scheduling.
Assist with coordination of field service requests as required.
Coordinate the sale of service parts
Maintain parts and tools inventory
Follow policy guidelines for mark ups and margin minimums.
Assist with reconciling issues with customers regarding service, parts and invoicing.
Provide an exceptional level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Reports to work on time and will work overtime as required and maintains a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Local daytime travel is required 40-60% of the time for this position, annually.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED required, and 1 to 3 years related experience. Additional years of education and experience may be substituted for each other, as determined by Human Resources. Ability to read, write and speak English is a requirement of this position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Candidates must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented as well as have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· The candidate must also be mechanically inclined and have experience working on small equipment.
· Candidates must have basic understanding of in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) as well as the ability to utilize the company business system.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit and use hands to handle, or feel, reach or grasp objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb; scoop; kneel; crouch; talk or hear; and use foot/feet to operate machines. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs occasionally (with assistance) as well as push and pull objects. This may include repetitive bending and lifting of items. The employee must have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and other equipment as well as the ability to adjust vision for close vision work. Employees must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when exposed to cleaning chemicals, operating equipment, etc.).
