On-Site Staffing Services is looking for individuals with culinary knowledge and experience Food Service Assistant to join their Dining & Culinary Services team out in the Madison, WI area to start as soon as August 25th.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares food and completes related tasks according to qualify and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals.
· 20% performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers
· 10% Assists and guides student workers
· 10% Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads, and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes
· 20% Greets customers, answers questions, and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities
· 10% Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
· 15% Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
· 15% Coordinate and perform the set-up and clean-up of preparation, production, service areas, catering events, and equipment
$18.00/hr.
REQUIREMENTS
· 1 Year of food production preferred (not required)
· Preferred (not required) SERV Safe Certification
· Company continues to follow necessary health and safety protocols to protect the company from COVID-19. All employees remain subject to the COVID-19 Workplace Safety Policy. Vaccination is not required.
· Must be able to pass a background and drug screening
SCHEDULE:
· Varies from location. We have the following available:
- Monday-Friday 6:30pm to 3:00pm
- Monday-Friday 6:00am to 3:30pm
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday 11:00am to 7:30pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 11:00am to 7:30pm
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 11:00am to 7:30pm
· The primary schedule for this position typically consists of 5, 8-hour shifts per week that may fall on any day of the week. Schedule may rotate every other weekend.
· Operational and work schedules will be closely aligned with the services and customer needs of the unit. As a result, work schedules may be adjusted during specific times of the year, including summer and winter break hours. Schedules will be determined at time of other.
