Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Lab Technician to join our team in a Weekender position.
The Lab Technician is responsible for specimen collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical laboratory results in accordance with established standards.
Essential Functions:
Collection of blood and other specimens from adult, pediatric, and infant patients in accordance with hospital procedures
Performs clerical duties for the Laboratory
Performs skilled laboratory procedures, operates all equipment, and reports results in accordance with established policies and procedures
Participates in the implementation of the quality assurance programs
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Position Requirements:
Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician
Licensure: Current MLT, CLT, ASCP Certification
Certification: Current BLS at hire
Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position.
Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills – Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare charts for reports
Work Shift:
Weekender (Baylor), .9 FTE
24 hours per week
Scheduled Days: Saturday & Sunday
Scheduled Shift: 6:00 am – 6:30 pm
Work 24 hours but get paid for 36 hours
