Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen interest in the food industry, particularly in coffee. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers while maintaining the smooth operation of the shop.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Utilize POS system for order processing and inventory management.
- Assist with food handling and preparation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including restocking shelves and displays as needed.
- Engage with customers to promote sales and provide product knowledge about coffee and other offerings.
- Manage time effectively to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using cash registers.
- Knowledge of coffee products is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to comply with food handling regulations and safety standards.
