- Enterprise server troubleshooting, monitoring, evaluation, configuration, installation, and setup
- Hardware and software patch management
- Assist applications group with installation of custom and third party applications
- Perform and document disaster recovery procedures
- Coordinates all changes and updates with stakeholders
- Works with vendors to resolve incidents and escalates to IT management when appropriate
- Utilize helpdesk software, provide all levels of hardware and software support
- Documentation
- Assign and track tasks for IT Specialists locally and across multiple sites as required.
- Will be required to act as level-1 & level-2 user support as needed.
- Participate in Technical Services on call rotation.
- Associates Degree in Information Technology and a minimum of 3 years in a Systems Administrator position. Bachelor's Degree is desired.
- Desired certifications or equivalent experience for the following:
- Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA)
- Computer Service Technician Certification (Comp TIA A+)
- Must be skilled in use of Microsoft Office; should have intermediate PC hardware and software experience.
- Must have strong working knowledge of:
- Blade enclosures and servers
- Windows Server 2003- Present
- MS System Center tools
- Active Directory including Group Policy creation and administration
- VMware
- EMC SAN Technology
- Microsoft SQL server administration
- Microsoft Exchange
- Basic Routers, Firewalls, Switches
- TCP/IP and related protocols
- AD Domain Security principles and best practices
