As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for streamlining the infrastructure and software development lifecycle to improve productivity, delivery speed, and quality. Will work closely with enterprise architect, software development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve pain points and inefficiencies in delivery workflows.Specific ResponsibilitiesMonitor, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, troubleshooting and resolving issues with infrastructure, applications, and deployments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Microsoft to implement the best practices defined by Cloud CoE and EAO.Implement and automate operational processes, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices.Ensure compliance with security standards, configurations, and identity management within cloud environments.Collaborate with the broader IT team to support incident and problem management processes (ITIL and Agile).Maintain clear and effective communication on the status of incidents and operational compliance.Contribute to the development and documentation of operational procedures and knowledge base articles.Provide support for critical issues.Skills/RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.2-4 years of experience in cloud operations, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and familiarity with at least one other cloud platform.Should be able to work in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, automation scripts, and version control systems (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, GitHub).Strong understanding of cloud, networking, and security principles.Experience with incident and problem management processes (ITIL and Agile).Knowledge of cloud pricing models and cost optimization strategies.Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools for operational tasks.Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Ambitious, flexible, and adaptable to learn new Azure and cloud related technologies and skills.Willingness to occasionally travel for operational needs.Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $119,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
