Receiving and inspecting shipments: Unloading trucks and deliveries, inspecting for damage, and verifying contents against purchase orders and item specs. Receive into inventory management software
Storing and organizing: Sorting, labeling, and storing items in designated areas
Preparing for shipping: Picking, Preparing and Packing items for shipping, including noting shipping methods UPS Ground or Surepost, FedEx Ground or Air, or various LTL Carriers
Process Shipments through Shipment and Inventory Management Software
Maintaining accurate records
Communicating: Collaborating with team members, dispatchers, customer service representatives, and others. Coordinating with carriers to schedule pick-up and delivery
Operating equipment: Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed
Adhering to safety: Adhering to safety procedures and guidelines
Follow Food Safety Requirements and Regualtions
Production support including gift pack assembly and other packaging as necessary
Operating a forklift
Proficient computer skills including UPS World Ship, FedEx and Inventory Management Software
Ability to work efficiently and independently and as part of a team
The essential functions of this role include:
