Description
As a Dump Truck Operator in the construction industry, you will play a crucial role in the efficient transport of materials to and from job sites. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and manage dump trucks to haul a variety of materials, including sand, gravel, asphalt, and other construction supplies. The position requires a keen understanding of vehicle operations and maintenance, ensuring both safety and compliance with regulations. On a daily basis, you will navigate a range of terrains, manage loading and unloading processes, and maintain accurate records of materials transported. Responsibilities
Operate and manage dump truck equipment to transport materials safely and efficiently.
Able to operate late model trucks.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in excellent working condition as well as cleanliness.
Load and unload various types of construction materials at designated sites.
Communicate effectively with construction supervisors and team members to coordinate material delivery schedules.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain accurate records of materials delivered and assists in reporting any discrepancies or issues.
Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the dump truck as needed.
Work collaboratively with other operators and construction staff to ensure project efficiency and success.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy machinery in a construction environment.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to construction operations.
Ability to perform physical tasks and handle heavy materials as required.
Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor vehicle maintenance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
Clean driving record.
Pay is 25.00-30.00 per hour
