solutions supplier worldwide. Summary The Electrical Controls Technician

applies electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to

design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components,

circuitry, control systems, and machinery. Principal Duties and

Responsibilities (But not limited to) This job includes but is not

limited to the following: Design, program and troubleshoot PLC,

Industrial Control systems and relay control circuits to include panel

layouts, wiring diagrams and interfaces. Perform testing, start-up, and

troubleshooting of PLC and Industrial Control systems. Work on AC and DC

systems up to 480 volts. Design motor controls involving full-voltage

starters, VFD's, and soft-starts. Provide technical support on motor

control systems, PLC's, PLC programming for Maintenance Tech's and

electricians for implementation on plant equipment. Provide in-house

training documents; prepare reports, flow diagrams and charts. Prepare

specifications and standard operating instructions for processes and

equipment. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software to

perform engineering tasks and create CAD drawings of project wiring

diagrams, panel layouts, etc. Assist in designing and maintaining

appropriate electrical systems to internal customers through the use of

busways, transformers, and load centers. Manage capital improvement

projects such as recommendation installation of oil-filled transformers

including the associated Switch-Gears and power feeders. Assist in

defining and updating the Electrical Safe Work Practices Program for the

facility, for compliance to the NFPA 70E standard. Maintain 24900 high

voltage system Manage the cost and time constraints of projects ensuring

that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations

is critical. Position Requirements Requires a positive attitude and good
