Job Title: North Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Lab Technician is primarily responsible for performing various routine bacteriological, chemical, and analytical tests on ingredients, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards.Responsibilities

Perform micro testing using Rapid Analyzer ATP.

Conduct analytical testing and wet chemistry analysis including pH, salts, viscosity, fats, moisture, etc.

Perform stability testing and detailed paperwork.

Execute microbiological testing procedures for verifying commercial sterility of finished products.

Implement the Environmental Monitoring Program.

Coordinate storage, organization, and shipment of finished product samples.

Conduct water testing and sensory programs for finished products.

Create certificates of analysis (COA) and manage the communication process for finished product release.

Coordinate verification, calibration routines, and maintenance programs for laboratory equipment and instruments across all labs.

Develop and validate quality assurance testing methods.

Coordinate external lab testing programs.

Support and execute the positive release process for finished products.

Contribute to root cause analysis of customer complaint investigations.

Maintain and improve FSQ documentation practices.

Maintain organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping of FSQ Lab area.

Order and perform inventory control for supplies and reagents.

Assist in managing the sample retain inventory, including moving and organizing materials in the warehouse.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

Proficiency with pipetting (2 plus years of experience in school or industry)

Knowledge of aseptic technique

Experience in biology, HACCP, laboratory procedures, chemistry, microbiology, and auditing

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in the Sciences - Microbiology or Chemistry

Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a food manufacturing facility and Micro & Chemistry Lab. 90% of the day will be spent in the lab performing analysis. The team of 4 lab technicians will test on average 1,200 samples per day across all shifts. The company will provide a uniform consisting of blue pants, a shirt, and a lab coat.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
