Genesis10 is currently seeking a
Full Stack Developer for a contract lasting through 3/31/2023, working with an insurance company in Franklin, WI. NOTE: We do not work through 3rd parties under any circumstances - All candidates must work directly on our W2 and not require sponsorship now or in the future. Description Search Center UI based Web Developer, DevOps and API Services Developer (I.e. Full Stack Developer) This role will be a developer on the Identity Single Sign On team. We're looking for an experienced developer who will apply engineering standard methodologies to enhance and modernize our organization's critical business applications. The role requires an agile engineering approach, patience and persistence to solve complex problems, ability to get things done quickly but thoughtfully, and dig deep into technology. In a DevOps environment, you will move between diverse tasks, focusing on test driven development and continuous integration practices, while helping to bring out the best in those around you. Responsibilities- Conduct peer code reviews.
- Create and maintain the Service API layer around the search platform in order to serve a "headless" search experience option to other business applications.
- Custom API configurations in order to connect to sources that are behind API service layers.
- Demonstrate technical leadership to team.
- Establish, aggregate, and share team standards within department.
- Utilize working relationships across teams within their division.
- Assess and provide solutions to system-wide architectural problems.
- Collaborate with DevOps partners to extend, monitor, and enhance/ maintain the infrastructure on which IAM applications rely.
- Web development experience with JavaScript, ES6, NodeJS, Angular, React, Redux, Java (Core, Spring Boot), RESTful services.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 4-5 years professional experience required.
- 3-5+ years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages and practices.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, ownership approach and continuous learning.
- Experience developing solutions using agile methods.
- Advanced skillset in one or more technical platforms.
- Capable of communicating between product, engineering, and the business.
- Manages own time to meet objectives.
- Understanding of design patterns and architecture.
- API Service development (e.g. REST based APIs development).
- Experience with SQL relational databases and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD related practices and technologies to automate testing and deployment (e.g. Gitlab).
- Experience working with AWS or other Cloud providers.
- Experience with Java/J2EE Application Servers (IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss).
- Be a quick learner with a willingness to plan, do, check and adjust.
- Have a strong sense of urgency.
- Deliver on commitments.
- Able to work across the organization.
- Coach and mentor other team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a scrum team using agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira).
