We are looking for a Credit Analyst II to join our team. Help to ensure that the bank’s loan portfolio remains financially sound by performing loan review and financial analysis. Responsible for the maintenance of timely customer financial reporting and credit ratings. Perform various bank-related job duties and responsibilities as indicated in the Position Responsibilities below. Conduct other duties necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

Primary Responsibilities for the Credit Analyst II are to:

  • Assist Credit Officer with loan reviews on all large credit relationships at least annually (up to authorized amounts). Conducts financial analysis and risk ratings using Credit Software and internally developed computer spreadsheet programs.
  • Assist lenders in preparation of loan proposals.
  • Prepares spreadsheets of customer’s financial information and analysis of financial information and related material.
  • Monitor loan covenants to ensure proper compliance.
  • Prepare SBA loan applications and other related support documentation.
  • Perform annual reviews of line of credit notes as necessary.
  • Prepare internal loan reviews as necessary for the Officers’ Loan Committee.
  • Prepare necessary financial analysis for Loan renewals.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Other Responsibilities for the Credit Analyst II position are to:

  • Actively representing Charter Bank in the community through volunteering is encouraged.
  • Attend various meetings as scheduled or arranged. Provide input and information as requested by President and/or other officers.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Role Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with additional acceptable work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years’ Credit Analyst experience in a banking or other financial environment is required if employee has an Associate’s Degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills with the following requirements: proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (primarily Word and Excel), and an aptitude for data entry or keyboarding.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
  • Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team-member.
