Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Analyst to join our team in the Financial Services industry based in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This position involves handling a variety of accounting functions, including maintaining customer service to agents, monitoring accounts, performing audit procedures, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities: Foster excellent customer service relations with agents, principals, and office personnel regarding queries on payments, billing, commissions, and other related concerns. Oversee a variety of system processes daily and monthly, which includes data entry, report generation and balancing, as well as investigating and rectifying inaccurate or incomplete transactions. Keep track of accounts exceeding 90 days past due and initiate suitable action, encompassing cancellation recommendation and referral to external collectors. Execute audit procedures to ensure precision of system data elements. Prepare and submit required regulatory filings with various states and other entities in a timely manner. Conduct account reconciliations on various general ledger accounts and perform accounting procedures necessary to balance and reconcile accounts, ensuring accurate processing of monetary transactions. Carry out various tests in compliance with the Company's adherence to the current Sarbanes-Oxley Committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) framework. Provide support to coworkers in tasks such as reviewing others' work, scanning, copying, filing, and data entry. Requirements Proficiency in accounting software systems is a must for this role. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of various accounting functions. Experience in handling accounts payable (AP) is required. Familiarity with accounts receivable (AR) is necessary. Candidates should possess auditing skills and have prior experience. The ability to manage billing functions efficiently is essential.
