Adecco is partnering with a company in Beloit, WI in hiring a temp to hire or DIRECT HIRE temporary staff accountant. This role can last around 6-9 months.This fast paced environment requires the perfect candidate to have excellent skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as experience working with Microsoft Dynamics GP or equivalent software. The successful candidate should be able to type at least 45wpm, be able to pass a basic accounting test, and work efficiently alone or as a team member.Duties for this position include:
Accounts Payable
Also includes some cost accounting regarding inventory items that may have duties, incentives, billbacks, etc…
Assist in the calculation and reporting of Sales/Use/Tobacco Tax-with in-house training provided
Calculate quarterly royalty payments due to a foreign vendor
Familiar with accrual-based accounting and how the transactions affect the related financial statements ensuring transactions are posted to the correct period and General Ledger account.
Able to create journal entries and balance GL accounts
Assist in the transactions for a second company utilizing QuickBooks
Other various tasks as assigned within the accounting department
Requirements:
Associates Degree in Accounting (or equivalent work experience)
Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel
Experience working with Dynamics GP a plus
Wages:
Wages will depend upon experience. Range $25-30/hr Hours:
Hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Additional hours will be needed to complete the job. Estimate of 1 hour/day for a 45-hour average workweek.
