We are currently looking to hire a Construction Superintendent for the De Pere, Wisconsin area.

Job Summary The Construction Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete projects on schedule, in accordance with the Plans and Scopes of Work, and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects. Reports to Dan Atkins.

Core Responsibilities

Coordinates and supervises on all construction activities.

Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans, specifications and Scopes of Work.

Creates schedules with Manager and maintains construction schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans, specifications and Scopes of Work.

Creates schedules with Manager and maintains construction schedule, identifying and solving problems as needed.

Insure homes are complete, punched out, clean and have an occupancy permit prior to orientation and delivery as scheduled.

Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.

Learns, understands, and ensures compliance with the project plans, specifications, Scopes of Work, and Atkins Building Group Inc.

Monitor construction processes-identify areas of improvement and work with the Atkins Building Group team and subcontractor to improve systems efficiency.

Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.

Prepares, schedules, and supervises completion of a final punch list.

Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately.

Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office.

Conduct occasional tours with Buyers during the construction process and Homeowner Orientations with new Homeowners prior to closing.

Conducts warranty walk-throughs with Homeowners and coordinates needed repairs.

Participates in occasional manual labor tasks necessary to maintain the schedule while keeping within budget.

Helps out on occasional nights and weekends for marketing events and parade of home events.

Education and Experience

4-yr college degree preferred but not required. Desirable study concentration in construction management.

3+ years of successful Project Management/Expediting experience with a production residential or multi-family builder

Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction

Experienced in managing multiple projects

Basic computer skills including email, internet, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
