Growth & Development Teachers (Appleton YMCA)

Wisconsin, Appleton-oshkosh-FDL, 54911 Appleton-oshkosh-FDL USA

Vacancy caducado!

Looking for a way to use finger paint during your day job or setting up messy activities to help ignite curiosity and play for toddlers? Looking to explore the imaginative world of three-year-old, as they discover they can save the day while learning letters and building cities out of blocks? Or see a child realize his ability to solve a challenge on his own, and watch him proudly share his discovery with a friend? Maybe you just want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference in the life of a child?

That’s what we do in our Growth & Development classes at the Appleton YMCA. We create a nurturing, creative environment for children ages 2-6 through programming designed for the emotional, intellectual, and social development of children. We believe that we have the ability to help our community through the lives of children and young families. The Growth and Development team is looking to add passionate, creative teachers to help create new classes that provide the skills for children to develop and identify emotions, celebrate diversity, and ignite curiosity in the sciences and the arts.

The Appleton YMCA is searching for passionate and innovative Growth & Development Lead and Assistant Teachers to develop lesson plans, new classes, and programs to help meet the needs of the families in our community. We are in the process of updating our classes and programs offered, and are looking for motivated teachers who have big ideas, are open to change, thrive in a team setting, and must have the passion of working with young children, ages 2-6.

Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

  • Experience working or volunteering with children in an education or professional setting. Degree is preferred but not required.
  • Love to learn new skills, subjects and methods and incorporate them into the classroom
  • Passion for learning, play, art, and working with toddlers and children.
  • Openness to new ideas, embrace change, continue to learn.
