Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and reliable Cleaner to join our team, responsible for ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in a variety of environments, including both commercial and residential spaces. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. This role requires a candidate who can perform a wide range of cleaning tasks independently, as well as collaborate with team members to ensure the facility remains spotless, hygienic, and presentable. A positive attitude and professionalism when interacting with clients and team members are essential in this role.
Duties:
Comprehensive Cleaning: Perform routine and deep cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces, ensuring that every space is spotless and well-maintained.
Floor Care: Carry out specialized industrial cleaning tasks, such as floor buffing, waxing, and polishing, to maintain the appearance, safety, and longevity of the flooring in high-traffic areas.
Restroom and Common Area Maintenance: Ensure restrooms, kitchens, and break rooms are cleaned regularly, with attention to detail in sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Common areas should always be tidy and welcoming.
Trash and Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste from designated areas, ensuring that trash bins are emptied and that the surrounding areas are free of clutter and debris.
Porter Services: Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and other items as necessary during cleaning processes to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently.
Inventory Management: Monitor the inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages, damages, or equipment malfunctions to management to ensure that the necessary tools are available for continuous work.
Residential and Commercial Projects: Support residential cleaning projects, including tasks like cleaning windows, organizing spaces, and assisting with home maintenance projects. In commercial settings, ensure that the environment remains professional and presentable at all times.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and cleaning procedures to ensure a safe environment for both employees and clients, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Team Collaboration: Work independently or as part of a team, ensuring tasks are completed within the designated timeframe while maintaining open communication with supervisors and team members for a smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or related fields is preferred.
Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and equipment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Positive attitude with a proactive approach to tasks, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment while interacting courteously and professionally with clients.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and clients.
Willingness to learn and improve skills in a fast-paced environment.
