Requirements:

Having transportation, need to meet hoof trimmer at designated location or the farm, can ride with trimmer to the farmers each day.

Being able to lift 100 pds

Being on your feet for over 8 hrs a day, you will have time in between groups of cattle to sit or grab a snack

Must have the ability to be Flexible with schedule, start and end times vary each day depending on the specific location, we travel a maximum of an hour to as little as 15 minutes from the Fox Valley area. This hoof trimmer lives in the Pulaski area if you'd like a ride to and from work each day. If you love the country and lots of fresh air this might be a great job for you. We never work weekends and your almost always home for supper or kids events, we start early but the benefit is getting done while the sun is still shining.

No experience is necessary, we will train. Paid holidays and 1 weeks vacation after 1 year of employment.

Job Description: Setting up and tearing down cattle chute, gates ect. Pressure washing the chute at the end of each day for bio security reasons. Moving or pushing livestock (Dairy Cattle), removing or applying straps around the livestock and running the hydraulic equipment. You will be required to have steel toe boots and clean clothing each day. It is a dirty job but for bio-security reasons you must start out each farm with clean clothing. We will provide a new set of gloves and safety glasses once a month. Company has been in business for over 25 years and has long time employees and clients! When you are not on a dairy you could be working in a shop helping to maintain equipment or working on the building itself or just take the day off. Typically only happens in the summer months, if it is to hot we may get a reschedule, cattle don't like the heat. All you need is a great work ethic and a wiliness to learn.
