Who WE are
TLB Wood Products LLC was established in 1999. We source and manufacture wood materials into exceptional landscape mulch, animal bedding and biomass fuel. In order to provide the highest standard of customer service along with efficient, timely delivery of our materials, we also operate our own transportation division known as TLB Transit Inc. We source raw materials and ship our finished products throughout the state of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. In addition, we offer transportation services throughout the Midwest region.
As a small family-owned business, we pride ourselves on being an environmentally "green" company through reclaiming, recycling and efficient manufacturing and sourcing of wood by-products. It is our mission to build strong, value-based relationships with our business partners. Our goal is to enable our business partners to excel in their businesses by offering high quality, consistently available and competitively priced landscape mulch, animal bedding and biomass fuel.
Duties:
Your role will be more than just a data entry, you will be a support staff, here at TLB. After becoming comfortable with all things AP and AR you will assist with incoming customers whether at the front window or answering phones, along with other miscellaneous tasks. However, your primary responsibilities will be to assist the Controller and/or President with month, quarterly and year end close and preform financial reporting and analysis.
Manage AP processing, assist with invoices, check requests and expense reports in compliance with applicable financial policies and procedures
Assist the Controller in preparation of cash flow analysis
Entering data and maintaining complex Excel Spreadsheets and printing out reports
Complete and approve credit references
Record and manage customer deposits and payments, from deposits, ACH, & credit cards
Follow up on past due customer balances using statements, reports, and both verbal and email communications
Assist with other special projects or recurring tasks
Filing miscellaneous paperwork
Communicate with customers via; window, phone, fax or email
Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Prepare reports pulled from multiple sources
Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and procedures, including reporting is required
Strong applied knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
Proficiency with accounting software systems including SAGE, strongly preferred
Excellent organization and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
Effective communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic team member
Pay
Pay will vary depending on experience level
