Responsibilities:
-Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
-Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining operations
-Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
-Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy of finished products
-Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
-Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve production process
Requirements:
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Experience as a machinist preferred
-Proficiency in operating various machine tools.
-Strong understanding of basic math and ability to perform calculations accurately
-Ability to assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment
-Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
