The FINANCIAL ANALYST provides analysis and data support for store operations with emphasis on store payroll spends; manage payroll budgets, forecasts, discrepancies and variances, and hourly payroll scheduling.
« Develops and tracks store hours compared to sales performance through measurable metrics, such as sales per labor hour, percentage to store revenue, and variance to planned payroll spend.
« Prepares reports, gains insight and communicates observations or trends to Operations and Finance teams.
« Tracks and plans hourly payroll projections based on sales plan and performance trends
« Communicates updates with Operations and store teams
« Ensures communication is timely and accurate
« Partners to project payroll needs for new store openings and real estate activities to maximize cost efficiency
« Works closely with Real Estate team to evaluate the impact of occupancy cost on profitability
« Supports lease negotiations with financial support
« Partners in development and execution of pro forma analytics to support evaluation of new store sites and lease negotiations
« Participates in dialogue regarding hourly payroll needs and exceptions, communicates frequently and efficiently with stores to meet their scheduling needs, and research discrepancies and variances
QUALIFICATIONS
« Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field
« 6-10 years’ experience-Financial Planning (strong preference for retail experience)
« 6-10 years’ experience-Corporate Finance or related analytic activity (strong preference for retail experience)
« Located in Morgantown, WV – a qualified candidate must be willing to relocate
