SAIC is the sole provider of Systems and Software Assurance Services to the NASA Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Program located in Fairmont, West Virginia. At the NASA Katherine Johnson IV&V Facility, we support NASA's IV&V Program, delivering cybersecurity analysis to safety-critical and mission-critical software, ground systems, spacecraft, and other communication mediums for numerous NASA programs, including both human and robotic exploration, and earth and space science collection platforms.

The successful candidate will apply extensive technical expertise and full knowledge of other the cybersecurity discipline to work independently and as a member of a team to support cybersecurity analysis of one or more of NASA's programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing systems with the goal of guiding an organization or system development project to properly implement and/or improve its security posture. This is a highly analytical and somewhat technical role that will utilize innovation and creative thinking skills while leveraging a strong understanding of and experience in implementing federal and organizational system security mandates, guidance, and requirements (i.e. FISMA, NIST).

The successful candidate will have the ability to write as they will be responsible for providing cybersecurity guidance to clients to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Likewise, they may be responsible for establishing and recommending changes to policies. They will be responsible for developing and documenting technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and persuasive and creative writing.

The successful candidate will be able to develop presentations and be a spokesperson for the cyber work. They will represent the cyber organization as prime technical contact on projects. They may interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

This position requires a security analyst to think outside of the box of securing a typical network system and think about potential End-to-End (E2E) missions that include ground system, spacecraft, and all communication mechanisms in between. The cyber analyst will be responsible for the evaluation of networks and space systems to identify potential vulnerabilities that could jeopardize an organization or space mission. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.
