Typical Day: Working with a Team to determine best practices and how to implement them.

Tasks:
  • Must be familiar with
    • Cybersecurity-Related IA and IA-Related Policies and Issuances as developed by the DoD Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity.
    • Activities associated with the transformation of DoD DIACAP to the DoD Information Assurance Risk Management Framework (DIARMF), to include the NIST 800 SP series: to include 800-37 R1, Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems, FIPS 200, Minimum Security Requirements for Federal Information Systems, 800-53 R4, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems, 800-53A R1, Guide for Assessing the Security Controls in Fed Information Systems, 800-18 R1, Guide for Developing Security Plans for Federal Information Systems, 800-30, Rev 1, Risk Management Guide for IT Systems, 800-137, Continuous Monitoring, 800-39, Managing Information Security Risk, and other related.
    • DIACAP Knowledge Service.
    • Requirements related to CJCSI 6510.01F, Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense.
    • CJCSI 6211.02D, Defense Information System Network (DISN) Responsibilities and the latest version of the DISN Connection Process Guide in maintenance of BIMA to DISN connection circuits.
    • DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management System.
    • Army IA and IA Related Policies, Regulations, Guidelines, etc for securing the LandWarNet, specifically AR 25-1, and 25-2, and subordinates, and CIO/G6 promulgated Best Business Practices guidelines and issuances.
    • NETCOM roles and responsibilities in supporting Army Cyber Command in developing and promulgating requirements to maintain and strengthen the LandWarNet Computer Network Defenses (CND).
    • Army Information Assurance Certification or Accreditation (IACorA) process for Certification and Accreditation.
    • Army Registry for Network Layer 3 Devices (ARNLD) and the DoD NIPRNet DMZ list databases and effectively ensuring that required records are entered and kept updated on a recurring basis.
    • Activities related to DODI 8551.1 for Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) and ensuring that networks information, in concert with DFSC IT, is correctly provided to respective networks databases.
    • Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme as related to IA and IA-Enabled products.
    • DoD NIPR and SIPR Network Information Centers (NICs).
    • Army CoN process
    • Configuration Management Processes.
    • Continuous Monitoring Critical Security Controls and monitoring and reporting SIEMs and sensors.
    • HBSS and different associated modules, LogStorm, Sourcefire, and BlueCoat.
  • Possess working knowledge of
    • NIPRNet Systems/Network Approval Process (SNAP) and SIPRNet GIG Interconnection Approval Process System (SGS) databases for requesting DISN - Authorities To Connect (ATCs).
    • US CYBERCOM responsibilities and directives in securing the DoDIN.
    • Army Cyber Command responsibilities and directives in securing the LandWarNet.
  • Possess ability to write IA policies and SOPs necessary to implement and maintain required operating Security Controls and necessary supporting artifacts for DIACAP processes.
  • Knowledge and/or familiarity with developing NETCOM projects, such as NETMAN, SYSMAN, ACAS, etc.
  • Understanding of the role of the CND Service Providers for network protection services at Tier 2 for the NIPR and SIPR.
  • Must be 8570.01-M IAM Level II Certified

Requirements:Associate Degree and 10 years’ experienceORBachelor’s Degree or higher and 8 years’ experienceORMaster's Degree and 6 years’ experienceORDoctorate and 4 years’ experience.

Certification: Must be 8570.01-M IAM Level II Certified

Desired Certification: Microsoft Certifications

Work Schedule: Day Shift. Contract has the flexibility to work either 8 hours for 5 days and/or 10 hours for 4 days at the Program Manager’s discretion.

Clearance: Current US Secret with SSBI Clearance (TS preferred)
