Job Role :: Salesforce Ecommerce DevOps EngineerJob Duration :: 6 +Months contract to hire Job Locations :: LaPorte, TX or Charleston, WV Essential Duties and Responsibilities :: Responsible for the integration of code from parallel streams of development into common dev, test, stage, and production environments.Responsible for resolving merge conflicts and working with developers/development teams as needed.Enforce development standards including but not limited to naming conventions, comments, and best practices.Responsible for the automation of Ecommerce SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).Implement various development, testing, and automation tools in support of the Ecommerce SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).Always seeking opportunities to further streamline or automate development and related processes.Work with management to select and deploy appropriate CI/CD toolsAutomation and integration of various tools used in the software development lifecycle.Interface with IT infrastructure teams as needed.Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)Deploy enhancement/defect and regular releases on time, on budget, and to specifications.Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner including close collaboration with other eCommerce managers.Advance the team's skillset and identify, evaluate, and embrace new technologies.Responsible for administration of system configuration including routine platform updates, patches, and security.Strive for excellence while following industry best practices.Produce recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.Involvement in the full end-to-end system testing.Responsibilities may also include participation in data architecture, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations.Perform other duties and projects as assigned.Education, Experience, & Ability Requirements Post-Secondary degree in information systems or 10+ years related experience.REQUIRED 3+ years of experience using REST and SOAP-based web services.3+ years of development experience including .NET, C#, VB.NET, Java, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Ruby, Python, and Perl.3+ years of experience with internet protocols including HTTPS, SFTP, SSH.3+ years of experience in automation and scripting using DevOps tools such as Jenkins.3+ years of advanced experience in code repositories based on GIT or SVN.Excellent understanding of Ruby, Python, Perl, and JavaExtensive experience working in cloud-based systems such as SaaS (Software as a Service).Experience in agile development practices and project management tools such as Jira.Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure.Ability to work as a project team member or occasionally as a project lead and coach technical staff as appropriate.General working knowledge of productivity applications such as Microsoft Office.
