Service Center Supervisor - Eurofins Environment Testing

Eurofins Environment Testing is hiring for a Service Center Supervisor located in our Bridgeport, West Virginia service center.  This will be a full-time position. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed.  Additional hours may occasionally be needed, depending on sample receipts and workload, including evening or weekend work.  Must be comfortable working independently in the service center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Courier duties approximately 25% of timePick-up and delivery of water, soil and air samples to and from the laboratory.Receive samples, unpack coolers, label containers, scan shipping documentation, and perform sample loginData entry for sample login with a high level of attention to detailVerify sample preservation, following standard operating procedures (SOPs)Delivery of samples to walk-in refrigerators or lab areas after receiptProduce bottle kits and perform shipping, receiving, and login dutiesClean equipment, such as glassware, coolers, sinks, tables, samplers using solvents, water and detergents or acids according to Standard Operating ProceduresFollow safe work practices and adheres to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe mannerMaintain the quality, hold time, and turnaround time objectives of the labCommunicate effectively with the courier coordinator about the courier schedule.Record in the courier log book the time that courier arrives to the site and time leaving from the site for all the pick ups and deliveries.Maintain records for the vehicle maintenance and driving miles; turn it in at the end of each month.Comply with the Company’s “Driver Evaluation and Qualification Policy”.Maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure a safe work environment.Dispose of samples according to guidelines on a monthly basis to remain in compliance with EPA and EH&S requirements.Maintain delivery truck to keep in proper working order.May be assigned other sample control duties as identified by the department manager of Sample Control.Perform all duties as outlined in the SOP for Courier role.Maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure a safe work environment.Prepare outgoing shipments of bottle kits and coolers for pick-upRestock supplies when received so supplies are available to employees when needed.Verify the validity and completeness of all bottle orders being delivered. This verification is done prior to leaving for deliveryInteract with Project Managers and clients appropriately and professionallyThe ideal candidate would possess:Professional, knowledgeable, confident, and friendly demeanor. Customer service experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be detail oriented with the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and have the ability to follow complex instructionsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail and a willingness to meet daily commitments with a widely varying workloadAbility to read maps and follow directionsAbility to operate a motor vehicle Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
