Recruitment Description:
The City of Ellensburg has a vacancy in our IT Division for a Network/Desktop Systems Analyst.
We are looking for someone to provide customer friendly technical/operational support to all City departments and ensure reliable availability of the City’s servers, network, systems, and programs
The Network/Desktop Systems Analyst performs a variety of technology support services, including, but not limited to: skilled and service-oriented technical support to employees of the City who have varying levels of knowledge and comfort with technology, analysis and maintenance of the City network, servers, and operating systems, and software identification, procurement, and installation.
This is a full-time, benefited position. Benefits include medical, dental, life, and disability insurance; Retirement under the Washington State Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and vacation, sick leave, holidays, exempt leave and employee choice days.
Salary: $5,229- $6,972/month (FLSA Exempt) plus excellent benefits
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional network/IT experience working with Windows server and
desktop operating systems, and providing excellent customer service
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered if it provides the knowledge,
skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid State driver’s license, or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment, and maintain insurable driving
record
First aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months
Prior to employment applicants are required to pass a background check and must not have any felony convictions
or disqualifying criminal histories within the past seven (7) years; applicant must complete a Criminal Justice
Information Systems (CJIS) training exam within three (3) months of their hire date.
Minimum:
- A+ Certificate
- Microsoft Technology Associate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) OR Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) OR Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Experience with FortiGate
