Red Tractor Project is a rural lifestyle concept in the development stage. Residing on approximately 400 acres in the Kittitas Valley, the historic dude ranch features a magnificent lodge and guest facility. Eventually the project will develop an upscale intentional community while accommodating tourism and life enhancing activities. RTP will pursue a mission of creating sustainability and resiliency to climate change.
Seeking quality candidate suitable for elevation to highest levels of trust in small corporation. Position will appeal to those with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. You have developed life skills and look for a place to grow and nurture. As with all start ups, there will be times of routine. But also times of critical importance. But in general, the day should be fun and fullfilling. Owner appreciates your learned skills but also places high value on intelligence, resourcefulness, common sense, and integrity.
Here is a list of possible tasks:
Oversee lodge and 4 unit guest house B&B.
Host small gatherings of prospective founding members.
Oversee correct nutrition and health of founder and guests.
Oversee landscape of property.
Compensation: We can discuss numbers when we find out more about each other. Objective for this person is to start out at a rate that is comfortable for both the person and the company. After some vetting, there is plenty of room to consider an ownership stake in the company. The lifestyle and income you desire will depend heavily on how you influence the business. The perfect candidate would become part of the succession plan.
Housing: There is opportunity to live in an upscale home in Ellensburg in exchange for overseeing that household and founder’s vital 86 year old mother who loves to cook and make art.
Owner Background: Born and raised in Western Washington, the owner is graduated with a science degree from WWU. Spent several years commercial fishing in Alaska. Following college he took advantage of the Navy’s Aviation Officer Candidate Program. This resulted in a 12 year career as a helicopter pilot specializing in special operations and search/rescue. Upon discharge from the Navy the owner created TractorCo.com in 1994 from scratch. At the same time he developed a 33 acre estate in North Bend. Eventually he moved the tractor business to Thorp Wa and started Red Tractor Project. Past times include hiking and biking. He is also a tandem paragliding instructor taking people for their first flights.
