PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain compliance with state specific Workers’ Compensation regulations and Ostrom policies and guidelines.
Provide all relevant documentation regarding work related incidents the determination of compensability and recording keeping requirements. (OSHA Log )
This includes determining mechanism of injury, work restrictions, and managing the information related to work related injury/illness.
Establish and maintain professional working relations with employees and supervisory personnel.
Ensure that files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.
Ensures that terminated personnel files are in accordance with the company’s document retention policy.
Assist with employee issues and investigations.
Assist with Employee Trainings.
Maintain the confidentiality related to all aspects of the department.
Provide administrative support as required.
Search for and investigate information contained in files, insert additional information as necessary on file records, complete reports, and keep files current.
Assist recruitment of potential applicants based on experience, skills, and education
Documenting processes and preparing reports relating to various personnel activities such as recruitment, staffing, training, performance evaluations, grievances, etc.
Conducting orientation programs for newly hired employees
Administrative tasks such as performing drug test, filing paperwork, completing employee documentation, recording data on each current employee; maintaining and filing paperwork of terminated or exiting employees
Verify new hire information and ensuring that all the hiring requirements are met for new employees.
Update online and internal job posting requirements when needed
Coordinating, organizing and implementing various HR projects
Assist in explaining and providing information on employee benefits, and training.
Manage insurance enrollment for employees.
Represent company at community and recruiting events
EDUCATION, REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree is preferred
Minimum of three to six years of experience in HR or related experience
Three to four years of experience as an Office Professional such as administrative assistant, secretarial/or executive assistant.
Two years of customer service experience preferred but not required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems
Must have advanced knowledge of basic administrative office procedures and office automation equipment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be able to manage a multi-line phone system

Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments
