Schedule: Daylight Hours
Part Time (20-30 Hours/Week) , including Saturdays
Inspection Coverage : Okanogan, Douglas, Chelan Counties
Property Inspectors work from their home and travel to surrounding homes and businesses to complete detailed property inspections. Property inspections are primarily completed for insurance purposes (renewals or new plans) and data collection for residential appraisals. Inspectors complete both exterior and interior inspections that consist of:
Measuring the exterior of the home for square footage
Taking photographs of the exterior of the home and any hazards
Taking photographs of roofs with an extension pole
Taking photographs of outbuildings, sheds, or additional hazards (pools, trampolines, etc.)
Using our mobile app to fill out forms for our clients
Notating building materials and replacement cost information
Correctly identifying the building grade and materials in kitchens and bathrooms
Correctly identifying heating, plumbing, and electrical systems
Interviewing homeowners/policyholders regarding their property
Scheduling and making appointments
Basic Requirements:
Must own and be able to use a Smartphone (proficiently)
Must own and be able to utilize a computer and printer (proficiently)
Must have access to high speed internet or Wi-Fi
Must have a reliable vehicle and be the insured driver on the policy
Must have a valid drivers license
Must have business casual attire to be worn while completing inspections
Must be at least 18 years of age
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Customer service skills
Can work autonomously
Motivated to complete work quickly and adhere to production/quality standards
Comfortable entering homes unaccompanied to complete inspections
Can work in all seasons and weather conditions, year round
Knowledge in real estate, homeowners insurance, maintenance, HVAC, valuations, property management, or other inspection services preferred.
Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Crouching, lifting light objects, and walking on uneven grounds is frequent.
