Job Description
This position is contingent upon contract award.MindPoint Group is seeking a Senior-level System Administrator. This Administrator should:
- Have at least 5 years of general Tier-2 or higher Technical Support and User Support experience, with previous experience working in a Tier-3 or higher technical specialist capacity providing enterprise level system administrator support.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills to bridge business and technical communities.
- Work as an administrator of Windows Server Architecture with knowledge of VMWare, relational databases, MySQL and/or SQL Server 2012 or higher.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of NAS/ SAN storage, networking and email protocols, web applications (web server administration, html, etc.) and related infrastructure.
- Help and train customers to understand the features and benefits the products and work systematically through hardware and software problems.
- Create and maintain the Knowledge Management database, SharePoint, MS Project and Visio.
- Perform software upgrades, patch installs, firmware upgrades and testing of functionality on a periodic basis.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to the OS, hardware, network, and related software.
- Manage periodic SCAP and STIG requirements needed to harden servers.
- Configure and troubleshoot servers and applications in a virtual environment.
- Create scripts in various shells; automate daily periodic tasks.
- Document work for leadership, update/create Standard Operating Procedures, brief staff and customers.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly across teams, embracing and executing Agile and/or DevSecOps best practices.
- Have a desire to and capability of leading small teams.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship with the ability to get a Public Trust is required
- Security + certification
- At least 4+ years (Mid-level) or 6 years+ years (Senior-level)of experience managing large or complex enterprise systems
- Bachelor’s degree in the field(s) of STEM or other relevant field
- 5-10 years of experience in systems administration / engineering related roles
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with Linux and network/systems administration
- Experience administering, optimizing, and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat SSO (SAML)
- Experience maintaining firewalls (Palo Alto and F5 preferred)
- Experience with Splunk and LDAP and Ansible
- Working knowledge of Oracle databases
- Cybersecurity-related certifications at DoDI 8140 IAT Level II or higher
- Examples include but not limited to:

- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Operating System-relevant certification, specifically relevant to Linux or AWS:
