These SMEs will serve as high-level advisors to senior government leaders, providing actionable insights and shaping policies that directly impact U.S. global competitiveness.Ideal candidates bring 20+ years of experience and are recognized experts in their field — capable of leading high-stakes research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning efforts.Divisional Impact Areas:You may serve in one or more of the following:Manufacturing & Services: Provide macro- and microeconomic guidance to protect and promote U.S. industry interestsSupply Chain Center: Guide advanced risk modeling efforts to bolster national supply chain resilienceTextiles & Consumer Goods: Navigate trade enforcement complexities and preference programsTravel & Tourism: Develop policies and strategies to expand U.S. export services through tourismTrade Agreements Secretariat: Advise on dispute settlement mechanisms and policy frameworksTrade Policy & Analysis: Lead economic research, forecasting, and performance evaluationIndustry Engagement: Oversee public-private engagement strategies and external communicationsCross-Divisional Strategy: Advise executive leadership on interagency coordination and long-term strategic directionKey Responsibilities:Serve as lead advisor on industry, trade, or economic issues affecting U.S. competitivenessDeliver technical reports, policy memos, and executive briefingsGuide multidisciplinary project teams across I&A divisionsEvaluate existing frameworks, recommend improvements, and shape strategic policy directionRepresent I&A in high-level engagements with interagency partners, industry stakeholders, and foreign governments
