Job Description

Job Summary

The Brand Manager is part of a team that provides design and graphics support firm-wide. The manager works with lawyers, as well as professionals from the firm’s marketing, communications, business development, diversity & inclusion, recruiting, and pro bono departments across all firm offices to develop and implement brand strategies to meet established goals while maintaining the firm’s brand standards.

The Brand Manager will play a leadership role in helping to manage and implement the firm’s new corporate identity program, which will impact all internal and external communications materials, both print and digital.

Job Responsibilities

· Ensure that the integrity of the firm logo and brand identity are maintained in all communication materials and promotional items.

· Ensure all departments use consistent and updated brand materials.

· Work with lawyers and business development professionals on the design of electronic and print materials, including newsletters, invitations, brochures, reports, signs and announcements, advertisements, and other collateral material.

· Work with lawyers and business development professionals on the design of crowell.com, micro-sites, blogs, social media tiles, podcasts and other web-based applications.

· Work with the firm’s business development professionals on the design and production of pitch materials, presentations and other marketing pieces to support client and prospect-development efforts.

· Develop iconography, infographics and other visual elements to strengthen the impact and readability of business development materials.

· Engage with Communications/PR to align creative design with key marketing/strategic communications initiatives.

· Work with firm administrative departments on the design of internal and external communications materials and campaigns as needed.

· Provide graphics support for firm-sponsored events, both internal and external.

· Direct and manage outside designers and printers as needed.

· Design ad templates, brochures, invitations, placemats, and other collateral.

· Participate in departmental efforts to strengthen marketing/business development infrastructure and improve internal processes to increase department efficiency, responsiveness and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Experience in managing a branding campaign and maintaining brand standards.

· Advanced graphic design skills and experience; in particular, thorough knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design tools

· Ability to adapt and master various web-based and software tools such as Wrike, WordPress, LexBlog, Vuture, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and other marketing-related tools

· Ability to create customized templates for firm use (Word/PowerPoint/Adobe/In Design).

· Understanding of assorted DAM (Data Asset Management) platforms.

· Proficiency in PDF creation (including interactive) and manipulation (Acrobat Pro).

· Strong project management experience.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

· Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, graphic design or related field.

Experience

This position requires a minimum of seven (7) or more years of marketing experience, preferably with a law firm or professional services firm. A combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
