Senior Network Administrator / Engineer Permanent with great benefits Vancouver, WA - Hybrid No Visa Support available at this time Summary: Work on the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the System Wide Area Network. In-depth knowledge of LAN, MAN, and WAN configurations including wireless, security, and design concepts. Leads network team participation on organizational projects and initiatives. Mentors other team members and provides technical expertise to support organizational requirements. Responsibilities: Analyzes computing needs based on customer requirements and organizational direction. Captures and analyzes system and network performance data. Participates in establishing architectural standards for network infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining the security of network infrastructure in compliance with established policies and standards. Uses capacity planning tools and trend analysis to forecast network capacity requirements. Researches and recommends cost effective hardware and software solutions. Installs and maintains all network infrastructure hardware, software, and services in compliance with established architectural standards. Monitors, reports, and manages performance of assigned networking components and supports assigned applications as required. Develops and maintains backup and recovery strategies for network hardware and software. Develops, tests, implements, and documents procedures. Identifies gaps in processes and services offered and recommends solutions to manager and team. Recommends cost effective strategies to address gaps, network capacity planning, and vendor management to ensure that appropriate and cost-effective service contracts are in force. Develops and maintains procedures and standards for installation and maintenance of network infrastructure. Troubleshoots all network infrastructure issues including availability, utilization, bandwidth, and latency. Participates in an on-call rotation for system and network support. Trains and mentors other team members. Experience: 5 years of advanced Administrator experience with WAN, LAN, and wireless network technologies. Extensive knowledge of and experience with much of the following: Routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and SD-WAN technologies Cisco ASR / ISR routing platforms Cisco 9000, 7000, 4500 switch family expertise Cisco management systems DNA Center, ISE, Prime Juniper Firewalls / Juniper Space Load Balancing Platforms Citrix Netscalers Cloud networking - Azure / AWS / Zscaler Clinical or healthcare experience preferred. Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) required. Preferred: Ability to work independently in an environment with multiple work demands and focus on detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage through challenging situations. Ability to lift objects weighing up to30 lbs. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field OR equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience, required.
