Job Title: Superintendent of ConstructionJob DescriptionSeeking an intermediate-level Superintendent in the Seattle or Tacoma area to assist in a variety of commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects. The company has multiple ongoing contracts with large banks in the greater Seattle area. Candidates should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a superintendent with general carpentry experience on commercial projects.Responsibilities

Perform general carpentry work as necessary on the project including concrete, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, etc.

Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, suppliers, and other contractors.

Supervise craft employees and/or other contracted subcontractors as required by the contract.

Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, as required.

Assist the Project Management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, and more.

Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures and safety program requirements. Document all safety violations, notify Project Management, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required.

Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of material/equipment, and contractual performance of the project.

Provide project documentation including daily reporting, pictures, and documentation of progress.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 5 years construction management and/or craft supervision experience.

Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction methods.

Competent understanding of construction safety.

General Carpentry experience on commercial projects.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and driving record screen.

Experience with hollow metal frames.

Technologically savvy and able to read plans with ease.

Experience with Procore is a plus.

Competence in creating daily logs and managing 3-week look-aheads.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Project.

OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.

First Aid certification.

Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems.

Competence in CSI, MEP, and general contractor roles.

Experience with mixed-use and ground-up construction.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Experience in construction supervision and management.

Work EnvironmentOn site at multiple bank projects in the Seattle or Tacoma areas. The candidate will be hands-on and occasionally self-performing work as needed. The company prides itself on a positive culture with no micromanagement.
