Job Title: Manual MachinistJob DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing replacement and new parts for Industrial machinery. Your tasks will include fabricating, machining, erecting, installing, and maintaining machinery. You will calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and ensure parts meet specifications using machine tools. You will operate, adjust, and set up machine tools to perform precision machining operations and ensure they are in proper operational condition. You will study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products. Further, you will support metalworking projects from planning through assembly, inspection, and testing. You will also dismantle machines or equipment to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.Hard Skills
Manual machining
Mill and lathe experience
Use of instruments such as micrometers
Ability to calculate dimensions or tolerances
Ability to study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information
Knowledge of machine functions, metal properties, and mathematics
Experience in machine or equipment maintenance
Experience in assembling machine tools, parts, or fixtures
Ability to operate cutting and grinding equipment
Experience in reviewing blueprints or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences
Welding experience is a plus but not required
