Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Underwriter based in Spokane Valley, Washington, United States. We are seeking an entry level Underwriter to add to a diverse and fast paced team. The candidate best suited for this role will have a can-do attitude and be open and eager to learning. This well-established financial services company is seeking an underwriter with 1-3 years of similar or related experience in risk analysis, credit assessment and due diligence in the lending, banking or finance industry.Essential Job Duties:

Completes consumer and business credit analysis

Communicates with a diverse client base and processes new client applications

Conducts UCC / lien position research

Reviews and understands contractual agreements

Audits client files for fraud detection

Performs extensive research and reporting of findings and conclusions

Performs risk assessment of potential new clients

Conducts compliance audits

Use accounting knowledge to perform financial statement analysis

Demonstrate strong research and organizational skills along with excellent business writing and communication skills

Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and lending software while maintaining confidentiality

Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients throughout the US with diverse backgrounds

Work well in a team environment and learn to apply company terminology, processes, and systems

Accounting knowledge to include financial statement analysis

Strong research and organizational skills

Excellent business writing and communication skills

Time management with the ability to multitask and excel under pressure

Ability to meet deadlines as well as to follow company policies and procedures

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets and lending software

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients throughout the US with diverse backgrounds

Ability to work well in a team environment

Ability to learn and apply company terminology, processes, and systems

Bachelor’s degree preferred (accounting, business or finance)

One to three years of similar or related experience in accounting,business or finance.
