Position Summary:
As a Sheet Metal Fabricator at R&R Heating, you will be pivotal in executing our mission of improving lives and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. This position involves fabricating and assembling sheet metal using machines and hand tools to produce high-quality HVAC ductwork. Ideal candidates will possess a variety of technical and interpersonal skills.
Essential Job Functions:
· Read and understand drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
· Select and prepare sheet metal materials, including cutting, shearing, and bending to specified dimensions.
· Operate various machines and tools, such as laser cutters, press brakes, and welding equipment, to fabricate metal components.
· Assemble fabricated parts and components, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
· Inspect finished products for adherence to specifications and quality standards, making adjustments as necessary.
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fabrication equipment to ensure efficient operation.
· Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
· Work closely with other team members to ensure project goals are met.
· Address fabrication challenges and find solutions to improve efficiency and product quality.
· Maintain accurate records of materials used, production processes, and any issues encountered during fabrication.
