Grimstad & Co is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator.
As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. Typical projects range from both residential and commercial sitework and utilities, plating, foundation excavation, utilities, septic systems, land clearing, heavy hauling and land development.
Candidates must be motivated self-starters with reliable transportation and communication.
Responsibilities
Report to site Forman onsite on a scheduled dispatch on time.
Communicate with site Forman.
Adhere to direction given by Forman and Superintendents regarding work and safety.
Trenching mainline utilities on grade
Assist installing shoring systems in open excavations and trenches
Safe Handling of onsite aggregates and materials
Establishing set elevations
Requirements
Reliable transportation and communication
Ability to lift up to 80lbs
Strong work ethic
Ability to set up rotary laser and read rod/grade hop.
Knowledge of rigging and lifting procedures and hand signals
Knowledge of safe trench excavation WAC Part (N)
Knowledge of Trimble Earthworks
Medical / Dental after 90 days
